Fresh Paint Magazine Issue IV

I'm excited to report that I am included in Fresh Paint Magazine, Issue IV. My work was selected out of hundreds of submissions from across the country and I am honored to be included in this group of 20 selected artists. Fresh Paint Magazine is a quarterly online and print publication inspired by talented emerging artists and writers.

last light craving color 10x10x10xTieton opened today @mightytieton and I'm excited to have one of my paintings included in this juried show featuring 194 small works by 145 artists from around the world. The show runs through October 8. Made some progress on my tropical commission today and now I'm ready for a Mai Tai 🍹😉 Last chance to order my limited edition @minted print, 'One Step Forward, Two Steps Back' - this one is being retired next week! There's nothing like seeing art in person. Sometimes the scale is completely different than you had assumed or the artist's technique is more or less polished than you had imagined. Some work looks better on a tiny phone screen and loses its power when you stand inches away. As much as I love seeing work through @instagram art truly is an experience and can never be fully expressed in a reproduction. Take advantage of galleries and museums and if you're in Seattle, today is the last day for the Seattle Art Fair where it's inspiration overload and you can check out this 👌piece by @sean_newport and so many others artists from all over the world. It's the First Friday Art Walk tonight in Winslow and this painting I made during last month's Arts In The Park event will be part of the Arts & Humanities Bainbridge exhibit at The Marge Williams Center from 6-8 pm. All proceeds benefit Arts & Humanities Bainbridge. Unity at the Bemis @bemisarts is a juried charitable art show running this weekend (tomorrow through Sunday) at the Bemis Building, just a couple blocks from the Seattle Art Fair. Half of all proceeds benefit Facing Homelessness, a direct-action non-profit that works closely with Seattle's homeless citizens. This free show features affordable work from 50 NW artists and I'm pleased to have these two paintings included. Definitely stop by if you're in the neighborhood! On my easel today: my next commission in progress - a large cloud/seascape based on a photo from our trip to the big island last year 🌺 What a thrill to see this installation shot of my painting 'Jackson Cove' in the stunning Michigan lake home designed by @fuchsiadesign - Autumn, I can't thank you enough for including my work in this beautiful space!
